NID Entrance Exam Structure

The NID entrance exams are conducted in two stages:

NID-DAT Prelims: This initial stage assesses candidates’ design aptitude through a written exam. M.Des candidates undergo a common Design Aptitude Test (DAT) followed by a discipline-specific DAT.

General Category: Candidates born after July 1, 2004, are eligible.
OBC/SC/ST: Candidates born on or after July 1, 2001, are eligible.
PWD: Candidates born on or after July 1, 1999, are eligible.
